just heard this piece of news a on CNN spot..
this over weight doctor ....weighed 265 lbs -ok
he decided to slim down and he starts
each meal with a shot of tobassco sauce
this triggers a response of self preservation/
self defense mechanism tricking your body!!
and you end up eating less and the guy lost
70 pounds!!! I know spices can help boost your
imune system....and loose weight too!!!!
yeah thats the ticket....:btu: cool !

same here for me. i could gargle and brush my teeth with that stuff - tabasco on everything makes food taste yummier, so i'd just eat more.

My family rolls their eyes whenever I put hot sauce on my pizza (because you get better coverage), or chili powder on my eggs (for a real smokey flavor) I am looking for some ground haberno pepper to upgrade my arsenal.

TV.. can't remember which morning show.. a few weeks ago.. had a Dotor that lost 65 pounds last year.. his secret.. he called it the Hundred Year Diet... (I think).. very basic.. one rule:
If it was not a readily available food 100 years ago, don't eat it, if it was, OK.
Think about it.. look at all the crap that eliminates.. no fast or processed chit, and all the crap that's in both.. he got the idea by looking at old photos, from 100-150 years ago.. what was real rare in them old pics?.. overweight people... and some were of people that did nothing strenuous even.... that is when he came up with that theory, and tried it.. it worked.. and he did not excersize either.. altho, now that he has dropped 65 pounds, he is starting to walk dailey, and do a light workout.. he wants to drop another 35 this coming year, and gain some strength... It has been getting some serious thought, from me.
He is not hawking a book, or a group, or a food plan.. just sharing his experience.. his BP, choesterol, tri-glycerieds, etc, have all gone to excellent health levels. And.. his adult onset diabetes, is Gone.

another one i've read before.... was
eat nothing that when left out in the sun will spoil....
in other words foods that would dry and still be edible
are the best foods...
anything else that would spoil if left in the sun is taboo.

before we were cutting blocks of ice from lakes and delivering them
to peoples homes to shove into an ice-box, the origional fridge.....:uhuh:
you had to buy meat cook it and eat it...
or you had a root cellar that was fairly cold...40 degrees or so
prior to that..... meat and fish was either cut in
long thin strips (jerked beef/ beef jerky) (or it was packed
into barrels of salt....) and then it was hung up on drying racks
to preserve it... everything else was heated and canned or dried in the sun...
the use of preservatives was unknown....
That's an xl boneless buffalo wing appetizer and a buffalo chicken sandwich all to yourself.
