I just finished this for my father. He's down in the Everglades and I thought he would get a kick out of it.

Biteme 01-29-2007, 11:06 AM I used a drill press and just spaced everything equal. It wasen't that hard. My drill press has the lasers lines and I used them to mark the holes on the top of the spool opposite each other. I made a template for the roter cup which I used on both sides to keep it the same. EricM 01-29-2007, 08:58 PM Terrific work...your father will be proud! 5 String Bass 01-29-2007, 11:58 PM Thats badass! Very nice. vanstaal 01-30-2007, 05:33 AM more pic's ? Sorry for my ignorance, but I have a Penn 704 (yup, the green/aqua color one, it has to be older then 30 years). It was given to me many years ago because the owner never used it. Well, I've only used it a couple of times maybe, so it is in mint condition. is it worth much? Should I add it to my arsenal, or due to it's age keep good care of it more for nostalgic purposes? vanstaal 02-01-2007, 12:15 PM Nice work.
