Here's one of our 2# test world record attempt with Fisheye in 1994. The battle lasted close to 1.5 hours. Finally, the mung built up on the line and we broke it off. Releasing a 20# class fish on the right as Fisheye looks on.

Here's the fashion plate himself sporting cutting edge technology and a decent fish. This was when super braid first came on the market. Mike showed up on the dock with it and we all said, "WTF is that stuff?" On the right, we decided to give up on the noodle rod and fish for large instead. That's Fisheye on the right in the frog suit. Pics from 1994. Nice glasses, Mike.

One from Nauset in 1982. This is my brother at 11 years old. I'm in the back casting. This was at the end of long bar where it emptied into deeper water. Its early October, you can see the white water in the back breaking on the bars. We were catching fish on 7" rebels mid day all afternoon. Second pic is from Nauset inlet in July 1995. Fish up to 42# on eels drifted with the outgoing tide.

I'm in tears. 1996 was one of the "legend" years. Lanny, #^&#^&#^&#^&y C, Steve Voicinet, George Calzone, Stevie Mills. What fishing we had!
July 3rd we had over 100 fish between 20 and 40 at the Second Rip in 3 hours.

A few more from the cape. My brother with a 46# fish from ballston on left. My twin 46# fish on the right taken in front of the parking lot at head of the meadow on eels. Pre-seal fishing at its finest. It was mostly a matter of just being there many nights. The fish were big and around in good numbers. A lot of guys did real well. A firefighter from New York named Paul Hoercher, god rest his soul, taught us a lot of the ropes. I caught more than 50 fish over the 40# mark in a few years thanks to Paul's teachings.

What a beautiful collection of photos I just saw! You all have to admit, that we are upon an era of big fish that we all thought was over and done with long ago.
Do we all really have to rally for the protection of the species or is it a reciprocal 30 year event that Stripers do so well and then Blues take over the food chain and so on and so on?
I was 12 years old when the blues came in to Narragansett Bay in numbers that where never seen before or again. The whole bay was boiling! Blues hitting the bottom of the boat woke us to see a blitz like nothing before, you where afraid to get to close to the gunwale.
Anyway, God catch guys!
JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

Peter (The Commander) still fishes for the Pioneer Valley Boat and Surf Club.

Couple more decent bass.My bother with a 43# fish from Charlestown, RI on the left. An early season (May 19) 47# bass I got from the canal on right. I got this fish on 25# big game mono snelled to a 6/0 gami octopus, no leader. The bottom of my spool was visible a few times, it nearly took everything. I walked about 20 light poles to keep up to it.
