Made my stuff look like chit I always feel inadequate when they are testing thier latest creations. Thanks for lunch George! Your kidding .. I was throwing mine looking at that jointed lepard you were throwing ... felt like jumping in and :humpty: it ... I had a couple of lipped needles.. With me its brute force and ignorance .. hit or miss.. Numby actually thinks about stuff ,angles, and heights of loops and weights,, sometimes speaking in tongues... what the heck was he talking about .. I nod my head knowingly and walk away .. have no clue .. Great morning with yous guys rumaging through Carls basement .. eastendlu 02-25-2007, 05:24 PM Wishing i was there :nopain: afterhours 02-25-2007, 05:43 PM i was out slinging new pencils. Lazy swimmers but did suspend.. Already swaped hooks to smaller size .. The bottle plugs a Hahn ,, dud of the day .. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k134/tagger-02/duds.jpg Star of the day ..rock maple point jude ... swam down and suspended.. These low swimmers were built with a certain place in mind .. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k134/tagger-02/pjude.jpg thefishingfreak 02-25-2007, 08:22 PM tested out the toboggan today. nice looking plugs there eddie. damn.. Tagger 02-25-2007, 08:25 PM Hey Ed I got one of those hahn plugs just the other day. Nice touch with all the sawdust inside the package. Guess you get what you pay for... Junk :( nice lookin hand carves you got there! funny .. I heard from a very good source they were the best in the ditch ... I'm talking coming from a true blue Gibbs man .. I didn't throw it in curent ... just reeling in ,,it came skipping in, on top like a small flounder .. In desperation I put a 5/0 VMC on the belly to anchor it down I hope . I don't understand the physics of a bottle ... very touchy plug I'd say .. Numby is brain storming now . when the smoke settles I'll ask him whats the skinny .. numbskull 02-25-2007, 08:53 PM In fairness, I think the Hahn will swim in fast current OK. It's problem, which some of mine share, is that it is too bouyant and as you slow your retrieve it looses its bite and comes to the surface. That is no good for a plug you want to fish in slower water in the dark. Fixing it is not as simple as adding weight, however, since the shape of the face is important as well. One of the things I've come to appreciate is that a truely good plug will do what you want it to do in different conditions and at different retrieve speeds, even when you can't see what it is doing. Achieving that goal is no easy feat. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
