You got to draw the line somewhere John. This isn't a case of censoring opinions. This is a case of exercising good judgement about when someone has gone over the top. Stripermans post has zero merit and that kind of language has no place on a fishing board. Who cares about anybodies opinion when that's the way they choose to express it. Time to hit the flush button john and send that post to the sewer where it belongs.

Saltheart and Bill, you're right. There is no need to have that. As much as I am against censoring threads, that is too much...

Thread is now closed!!! Board consensus; I might just blow it away too. Whaddayathink???

Ok, on further relection, its GONE!!!

John, I just got your e-mail. There's an old saying--if a tree falls in an empty forest, does it make a sound? I missed anything negative that anyone had to say after yesterday afternoon, the last one I read was from Got Stripers and he was forthright, as usual. As for what happened after that, I could care less except as it caused problems for you. I responded to that thread as ditchjigger, rather than I normally do as Mike P, solely because Patrick directed all his e-mails to me by that name and I wanted it to be clear to him that ditchjigger was responding to him directly and not via a third party. I've tried to be helpful and think that I have contributed a lot to your board since it went up in March.

As long as you were not offended by this board, that's what concerned me. I've seen you on the receiving end of some nasty, unjustified attacks and did not want to see that happen here.

Yes, you have certainly contributed much here and I've always enjoyed reading your posts, all the way back to where the world ends and begins . I also want to have the opportunity to bend some rods with you. Any chance you can make it for some fall Rhody fishing??? I'm sure Bill would be up for that too...

Thanks...

John

#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, so that's what I have to do to get you offline so your phone isn't always busy. Invite people fishing with you ... Well... Seriously, I'll call you back in a short bit. I have a problem with one of my data connections at work that I'm working on...

I'm happy about two things; first you pulled the thread and second Ditch at least had a chance to see my post. Tough job being in charge isn't it, lol. I would only suggest you jump in a little earlier next time, lol.

Tight lines.

I agree totally. That post got way out of control through no fault of my own. I hope people realized that I would have kept it off any of the boards.

Utterly amazing and pathetic; #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& business as usual. Only hours after copying the one truly vile post out of the thread and scurrying over to Tim's board to hang it on the wall...

Hey Ditchjigger/better get over there and take care of this one!! from Cmstriper!! #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& 09-14-2000 Main Forum

why whatever do we have over here at John's site??? I agree john, use some of those power's of yours and pull that thread, you know its going to get way out of hand.

Ignorant and careless with facts and detached from reality as ever, he managed to attribute the piece of crap to entirely the wrong person; someone who happens to be one of the truly good guys on the boards. The whole behavior pattern brings to mind some half-wit running into the house with a dead rat or dog turd he's found to display for the family like it was a great prize and high point of his life.

Mr.Klien,I was giving mike a heads up to respond to a negative post,he knows that.I got an email from him this morning and he was not at all confused about my intentions. He was in fact glad that he was given the heads up on that post from striperman.

I have to tell you ,while you boys are some good typers and great with the "quotes" Im not impresed, you make things sound the way you feel like at any time. Its a skill and also a sighn of a boring life ,your whole intent is to make me sound like the one causing the problem when it was striperman.

Mike told me he only checks this board twice a week,I gave him the heads up thats all there is to it! Mike also knows that this phrase, Hey Ditchjigger/better get over there and take care of this one!! from Cmstriper!! #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& 09-14-2000 Main Forum..Was absoulutly for a laugh!! You are taking this too deep as usuall, mike doesnt need you to protect him, like you were the grand cyber watchdog.I dont think mike takes this stuff as life and death the way you seem too.

Lay off quoting my posts,Im sick of it and it make you look like a crybaby. You have a problem with me? then email me and we will straighten it out,Thats fair.
