Pictures from my last trip to Jackman. Pretty much right on the Quebec Border in the North West Mountains of Maine. What a time this was. Best trails I have ever ridden and the scenery was spectacular.

Let me know where and I will tell you what I have heard recently for trail reports. There are some areas to stay away from near the South Side of the lake, broken groomers. $42 to register for 3 days of riding. Cheaper than Ma. I am going back up with the wife on the 16th, back to Jackman. tynan19 03-05-2007, 09:22 PM Great pictures ! Looks so tranquil up there ! One parcel of land up there is for sale. 80 acres for 90 grand. I want to buy it bad. UserRemoved1 03-06-2007, 05:36 AM tynan that is awesome stuff. love those wilderness scenes. So pretty. I know jack...man :hee: Uncle Matt 03-06-2007, 06:15 AM Tynan - I've been going to Jackman for a few years now. I've got friends who have camps on Route 201 and they rave about the snowmobiling. I usually go up during hunting season and go moose watching. The air is clean and the ski is amazing at night. afterhours 03-06-2007, 07:45 AM i used to go fishing on the moose river and some back ponds up there- it's God's country fer sure- stunning.. riverrat2 03-06-2007, 09:12 AM I am going snowmobiling this weekend up at moosehead for the first time. I am pumped it is supposed to be in the high 30's and sunny. tynan19 03-06-2007, 09:21 AM I am going snowmobiling this weekend up at moosehead for the first time. I am pumped it is supposed to be in the high 30's and sunny. You almost want temps to be in the teens to low 20's to keep the snow consistent. With the higher temps and the heat of the Sun in March the trails that are thin start to get a litte muddy. It is great for the warmth factor just not for the trail conditions. Have a great time and take some pics. tynan19 03-06-2007, 09:29 AM Pictures of the groomed trails that make the trip worth it. tynan19 03-06-2007, 09:30 AM Bald Mntn and Mt. Uncle Matt 03-06-2007, 12:00 PM MEOW....... jim sylvester 03-06-2007, 12:04 PM good to see you got a good weekend tynan19 03-06-2007, 12:35 PM MEOW....... I was hoping it was going to jump out a little. It would make a good mount. parker23 03-06-2007, 04:37 PM Sorry for the pun. I was in Jackman 5 years ago white water rafting. It really is a spectacular example of nature, undisturbed. Went canoeing on a small lake for ½ a day. The wildlife and scenery is gorgeous. One of the nicest features was the lack of human trash. We must have covered 5 miles of lake and there was not a speck of trash anywhere. I think people in that environment respect the beauty of nature and think twice before littering. Looks like you had fun. Jenn 03-06-2007, 06:07 PM Great pics T-19!!! Plans fell through for this weekend.......maybe someday I will get there.... tynan19 03-06-2007, 07:53 PM Great pics T-19!!! Plans fell through for this weekend.......maybe someday I will get there.... Might be for the better. It is going to get warm with showers. I am getting nervous for next weekend. There will be still plenty of snow it will just be in the more remote areas, such as logging roads and offtrail riding. Places where you don't want to break down. My last trip last year was way up in Maine and it was in the high 40's. Almost too warm to ride. I would strongly suggest trying to organize a trip for next year. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
