I've fooled a bit with making a flounder plug, with no real success to speak of. Still, I think the way to go with a hook is a 5/0-7/0 double so the points ride up. You can get big Mustad doubles in stainless at many tackle stores that sell offshore supplies....but they are ridiculously expensive. BassPro sells tinned mustad doubles in packs of 6.....much cheaper unless you only want one or two.

Is it weighted like a trolling spoon?
Cool idea. I would go with one hook on the tail.
Nice shag carpet.:btu: :hee:
id weight the belly on the belly, with the lead protruding a bit and epoxy a siwash hook out of the tail facing up twards its back, the weight being on the belly side should make it ride belly side down and hood side up.
I like the flashy fins :D
