I'm looking for some clues about some plugs my dad sent me.. I have no idea on the timeframe for these, and he sent them up from florida but I'm not sur eif thats where they are from originally. One of my dad's friends who knows my dad likes to fish came across these and saved these for him.

I did a few searches, the darter says martin on the belly. Any idea on a time frame?

The big swimmer is more interesting to me since I'm on a swimmer kick as of late.. Its hand painted, has nail heads for eyes. The lip has small holes drilled or punched in it for the wire and one side of the wire goes thru each hole.

It has hook hangers and the hooks must have been on during assembly as they are closed eye hooks.

Oh, and there were a few big 4 oz eelskin jigs, not sure if that helps place these up north or if they fished eel skins down there too

Large swimmer may be an Atom 40? The J plug may also be called a Silver Horn. I know a charter captain in the Elizabeth Islands who uses them for stripers out at the Sow and Pigs reef. Also saw something similar at the RISSA show this past weekend.

The J-Plug type you are refering to would be a "Silver Horde" not the vintage wooden plug pictured.
My best guess would be a Martin made by the Martin Plug Co.
