good2hook 04-11-2007, 08:59 AM is zap a gap any different then just plain ole' crazy glue? made up some rigs last night and for the life of me couldn't find my zap, so i used crazy glue. not sure i'm happy with the results. if it is different, will crazy glue weaken the knot?

All I use is no-name super glue. Never had a problem
Rockport24 04-11-2007, 09:05 AM I use superglue, but after a while in the water, say 5 nights or so, it starts to degrade and I have to re-glue it.
maybe zap a gap is more waterproof?
good2hook 04-11-2007, 09:30 AM thanks jfig and rock for your speedy responses, as long as it doesn't weaken the knot, i'm ok with having to re-glue them, i'm sure by then i will have found the zap....thanks again.
Flaptail 04-11-2007, 09:38 AM Zap-a-Gap is the only non water soluble super glue.

Zap does not clog the spout as easily as the no-name stuff....
I sell 1/4oz bottles as low as $3.49 - I also have Flex Zap which is good for fixing tears without making the bait rigid and Odorless Zap if you are doing alot of gluing and you don't want to come across as "glue huffer" at the end of day...

EricM 04-13-2007, 04:05 PM anybody ever try using goop for that application? I was wondering if it would enhance the durability of the rig, although I got to admit the fumes nearly knock me out even if I use the stuff in a well ventilated area
