Sure....go to the nearest bait & tackle shop, buy the NICEST set-up you can find, and then leave it with me upon your departure.....;)

Any local B&T can help you. Good luck.

You should not have a problem renting equipment but because you are staying for two months it would probably be cheaper to buy your equipment instead.

Buy the best setup you can afford because if you spend two months on the Cape, on of them being September you won't leave!

You are here for 2 weeks or 2 months??

MikeCC - Do you rent decent equipment?

Keith, you know, I've shipped 9.5 foot rods before via Fedex no problem before. Just get a long section of plastic PVC pipe, cap the ends with same, cushion the rod & go. You may still want to keep a good rod from here :D - Surely, once you've enjoyed September on the Cape, you'll be back :D

Just Buy a rod and sell it back when done with it, sounds simple. You'll lose some $ but you will have fun with it too.

When you get here , go to Benny's and buy yourself an 'Ugly Stick" . It's not the best but it will do fine for a couple of weeks of fishing. A 9 footer is about $55.
