...When the storm strengthens into a major Nor'easter off the Northeast coast by the end of the weekend, a reappearance of wet snow will be definite across far northern New England Sunday night into Monday. The East Regional News story discusses that the difference between a deluge of rain and a burying and potentially record-challenging snowstorm over the rest of the interior Northeast will depend on the exact track of the storm.

Wherever the wet snow falls, our Winter Weather Center is warning that the weight of the snow, which will be loaded with moisture, could cause roofs to fail and may be responsible for power outages as power lines and tree limbs fall. The threat for flooding will quickly follow the storm's passage as temperatures moderate.

East of the threat for a late-season snowstorm, the East Regional News story also states that a flooding rain will begin to spread over the eastern mid-Atlantic states and coastal parts of New England Sunday with Monday's Boston Marathon possibly being adversely affected by the storm. Gale-force winds howling to the north of the storm will blast the immediate shoreline and bring a threat of coastal flooding and beach erosion...

Can you imagine running 26.2 miles, due east, dead into a 50 knot headwind the whole way :err:

The Kenyons will suffer in this weather. Maybe a local will have a more level playing field/street, so to speak!

i think the marathon is a joke with The kenyan's running every year
only because it has become no contest....

i'll bet they never ran in the type of rain we'll be getting...

it's gonna be a slip and slide.... and i'll wager many will
suffer from hypothermia ....
or will bail out way before the finish line this year.

is baa actually gonna run this race with this kooky weather?

i guess there will be fewer bandits running this year as a result and nobody's gonna break 2 hours unless there's a nice 50 mph tailwind. lol.

probably one of the toughest races to run (esp newton) but definitely one of the most fun (run through wellesley on route 16, hee hee hee).

snow: it started and stopped here in central mass....
i put out ten pounds of suet yesterday - and the bluebirds
are loving it... they're all loading up....they know what's coming.
------->
i read where all birds hear differently than us....
for example they can hear Niagra falls from here....
as a dull roar...
