anyone ever use fresh LIVE squid for bass fishin? i mean ive done alot with fresh squid strips and heads but i didn't know if anyone fished them alive. im able to get my hands on live squid all the time with the job i work at over the summer and figured if anyone knew how to rig one up, why not give it a try? anyone?

The tuna guys use them live when they can catch them under the boat in the canyon. They supposedly work great. I'm sure bass would love them, but I don't know if they keep in a live well. Give it a try- you've got nothing to lose.
We had a decent squid run in my area last may. From what I heard a few of the jettie jockies were live-lineing them with a circle hook thru the head. Apparently some nice bass were caught on them.

We use them all the time in the canyon hwne chunking tuna. Just stick a hook through the rear end (the end furthest from the tentacles, and they will do fine. They are hard to keep alive for any legnth of time.

awesome thanks for all the good ideas. its somethin i think of all day when im at work so i guess ill have to give it a try.
