View Full Version : File sharing programs stripersnipr 04-17-2007, 05:29 PM Whats the best out there? MrHunters 04-17-2007, 08:33 PM bittorrent... and not just for illegal file sharing. it is by far the best around. many legit companies to push their distros, like fedora red hat, ubuntu and other open source groups fishsmith 04-18-2007, 11:50 AM http://www.xdrive.com/ I haven't used it, but my techy buddy who lives breaths and eats this stuff said its great. Raven 04-23-2007, 10:38 AM then found out it was run by AOL and deleted the whole thing. can't stand AOL Gunpowder 04-29-2007, 09:17 AM and if u just want to be able to run ure computer from another computer or somethin, i recommend vnc viewer that u can download form www.download.com NeedaKeepah 05-28-2007, 08:39 PM http://www.shemes.com/ This isnt a true file sharing program like Napster or Bit. This works with newsgroup postings. Takes a little set-up but it is easy. For music it is fantastic. :jump: JohnR 05-28-2007, 09:15 PM What do you want to share? Just to share with a couple other people? Or the world? Be concerned with lots of bad stuff going around in sharing... Captain Jake 05-31-2007, 10:30 AM Ya once you have the program bittorrent, the applications for it are endless. There are sites for videos(like the movies that havnt come out in theaters) and stuff of that nature. The trick is to find them, alot of them require a membership and sharing ratio(you have to upload proportionally to how much you download). One that is a good place to start is torrentz.com its just a search engine for most of the major public torrents. O, and as JohnR said keep a watchful eye out for anything that looks sketchy because the internet is dangerous/really freaking weird and god only knows what you will come up with if you arnt careful. =D vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
