any guesses on what a 21ft galvanized single axle bunk trailer weighs.??

Im getting everything weighed this year to be sure but was just curious about the trailer. Im guessing im a smidge over for a jeep wrangler GCWR

21 ft is trailer length not boat length.

Go to the manufacturers website, should tell ya there.

best i can tell, twin vee either has a deal with some company or makes them... but their site has nada on trailers, just hull weight.

I will guess around 800-900 lbs. I have a dual axle galvanized trailer for a 22 foot boat with a set of drum brakes and only 16 rollers and 14" wheels and it lists at 1160. Take off the axle and wheels and the extra metal in length and it has to be at least 300 off the 1160lbs.

does the trailer have a title? It might tell you on that or on the bill of sale?

My trailer only weighs 875....................I hope yours is less.

MrHunters, is that the trailer in the pictures above your sig. If it is I would guess it's not much more than 500 lbs. I'm guessing your boat is an 18' and if the trailer tongue is around 3' there's your 21'.I have a trailer just like it and I can pick it up from the back if I screw up the parking job on the first time.
If it's a different trailer the excuse my interruption. I'll shut up now.

Ps the title will probably only show the GVW of the trailer, that includes the boat.

yep thats the trailer in my sig. I've tryed once to do the ol heave ho to get it into place but it was heavier than i thought. maybe next time ill eat my wheaties. :)

How were you planing to weigh the boat. I took my boat to a lumber yard were they sell bulk sand and gravel. I just backed the hole thing on and it came out to just over 1100 lbs with gear and fuel.
(18' aluminum bow rider and a roller trailer that looks to be similar to yours.)

i was going to go to a truck weigh station.

I think you'll be fine with your Wrangler towing it , if you put the boat in H2O or on blocks take the trailer to a moving co. with scale or sand & gravel co. for a small fee they will hook you up.

the jeep tows it, its sliding down the ramp that concerns me.

but last year was successful. it just looks silly behind the jeep. its bigger than it looks :beat::beat:

tothe slide at ramp try attaching a chock block on a 6' rope attached to bumper ,set block when you dunk the boat and when you pull away it follows you up the ramp, I do this on steep ramps

I saw I guy launching a 21" fiberglass cuddy cabin from a wrangler.I thought for sure it would drag the poor thing in with it but it worked fine. I've seen some one use the chalk block on a rope before. Great idea and it makes you look like a real pro when you take off and the block comes out with you.
