I have it....works great for me...a big step-up from the dial up we used to have.
It works off the phone line as well...the only thing I don't like is you need to install filters on your phones and it messes up the volume and clairity of the phone...maybe there is a different filter you can use, if anybody knows of one I'd love to know.

Had it about a month now. Their service has been top-notch. We had a modem die ( a one in a million occurance) they sent a guy within hours and overnighted a new one. It was there the next AM --programmed! Two thumbs up!!

I had a lot of trouble in the beginning, bad modem, lost connections, static in the phone line, they had to come over 3 or 4 times to straighten it out. I still get a lot of loss connections. I don't like the fact that I had to go with a 1 year contract and I have to keep my phone service with them, as soon as it's up...I'm switching to cable.

I've got mixed feelings about.
I've had Verizon telephone all along, then I let them talk me into the package with dsl and direct tv
For the most part the dsl is great,
BUT, support is VERY tough when you have a problem!!!
Takes forever to get through to a person, then when you do it's someone from India and you can't understand a word they say !!!
also, I've had a problem using outlook express, can get emails but can't send, some POP code comes uo, and I haven't been able to resolve it through their customer service!
The direct tv that another story because too many trees at my house and couldn't get a clear signal to the south, and the brain surgeon they sent out to install put the dish on a peice of 1x6 screwed to my stockade fence, so I had them stut it off about over a year ago, but now I'm cutting down trees (for many reasons) and may go back to it.

Ron, I had the same problem with Outlook, it's just a setting in Outlook and I can't remember what the hell it was. I know I Googled the error and found the answer.

Amen, I hear that, my first problem ended up in an hour and half phone conversation, resulting in much frustration. I ended up calling dell and had the problem fixed in 5 mins. The only real problem I had was yesterday during those downpours.

I have had it for a while. Very fast, but then I am very close to a switching station. Have never needed support. Not to hijack, but I have not used outlook in so long I forgot why people use it. I have multiple web based e-mail accounts, but G-mail is my favorite. You dont have to delete anything, except the junk mail occassionaly. Just archive it. When you clear your cookies and other tattletailers and then have to remember your sign-in information for say SB.com, well then you just search your mail for SB and voila! There is your screename, password, happy b-days from john and every other email you ever got from this site. Gmail is just to easy. G in general never ceases to amaze me. People in my parents generation used to kick themselves for not buying IBM stock when it was low.....
