What happened to the msba reflector and who is this bassmagnet guy emailing to join a yahoogroup?

The relay went down when our new web guy (bassmagnet) revitalized the site.
Not being able to get the old relay going, he is using yahoo to do it.

It should work the same and not be connected to his great work on the website, so there won't be issues with maintaining it.

Thanks Van. Never heard of the guy and since there was only 5 members on the yahoo board I wasnt sure what it was.

Most (if not all) hosting packages include mailing lists.

Why use that yahoo crap when you can use software specifically built for it? Seems rather counterintuitive.

And less yahoo spam.

Time. That's probably why. When the guy running the MSBA site and lists volunteers his time he probably only has so much he can allocate beyond his regular job and family.

Sure, a lot of hosting packages do have lists but there is also a fair amount of time managing them and solving user related issues that doing the Yahoo board is likely easier and less time consuming...
