Time to move on with registering the boat, after I pay the sales tax. Anyone have an idea how I can accomplish both with one trip to Boston? Is Boston the only office to register at?

Here is a link to check out: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dle/boatregfaq.htm#Regoffice

and another one:

Believe that you can do it online - really fast turnaround as my old boss and brother-in-law did it that way.

this wont be much help but i seem to remember paying for sales tax online and then printing out the receipt for when i went to register. i also remember it being a pain in the walnuts to park in that area of boston.

I second the NH vote :) What's sales tax?

Shhhhh don't say it to loud, I don't want them to get any ideas.
I just send the check in the mail, and they send me my stickers

You can do it in Fall River, both at once, office right on South Main Street.

I paid sales tax online, you will need to take a piece of paper and a pencil and make a copy of the serial # plate off back of boat.(just rub it)I went to Worcester and had no problems. Get form online.
