I got to thinking about this as I got dressed in my business suit this morning to go to a meeting. What's the craziest cloths/outfit you wore and went fishing? I had a meeting on the Cape last fall and had my gear in the car. The meeting was in Hyannis and after it ended I drove down the street, walked out on a jetty(with my suit minus the tie) and threw out a plug. 1st cast and I was on a 36" keeper! I got to thinking maybe I should wear that all the time. My wife was giving me a hard time saying yea you must have worked real hard today to have time to catch this! :rotf3: I actually did have a change of cloths and did eventually change into them on my way home. I hit the ditch on my way home but didn't score a keeper. Should have left the suit on for the ditch! Call it my lucky suit! Anyone else ever wear any non traditional fishing garb and catch anything?

Back when i was Tuna Fishing out of chatham commercially I had brought a girl home. We were supposed to be at the boat at 3:00AM and I woke up to the phone ringing at 3:30 with my captain screaming at me. I threw on this ripped up pair of jeans and the first sweater i saw and ran out of the house with the girl. I dropped the girl off drove full speed to the dock and realized that i didn't have any underwear on and my junk was easily seen through the torn up jeans. I had 3 days of a freezing lower half and some major chafage from my oil gear.

Coming back from a meeting in Maine I stopped at the chain bridge in Newburyport in a suit and tie . As I walked down to the water with my fishing rod I saw about 30 asians flipping out throwing stuff in the water and scattering. When I looked in the water about 30 short stripers on a rope floated by along with strings of catfish. One guy was still trying to hide something when I walked up behind him and he turned around and threw up his hands in surrender. They thought I was a cop . This was way before everybody had cell phones so I could report them, most had screwed out of there by then. This guy must have thought I was going to have him deported or something he started to offer me a bribe if I let him go. He almost craped himself when all I did was walk away and take a cast. I called the NRO's later to tell them to keep an eye on the area.

I usually cast almost every day at lunch for about 30 min. in my "business casual" as a good spring spot is about 2 miles away. I may go back after work in my bicyling shorts and shirt:yak: . That will keep me from being mugged:hihi: .

Spence is usually the best dressed surfcaster I know.. everything MATCHES! I think he is often embarrassed to be near my duct-taped gear.... of course he still cant throw conventional when the fish are biting :D

with your my terrotory being RI and southeast mass, including the cape and the islands, I have been known to put waders over my suit when i see birds working the water
funniest is when i walk into a dr's office (client) after, and he's a fisherman....calls you on the carpet and knows you snuck out in between calls because you reek like bass

The last few months of school, I almost always make a couple of casts on the way to work at my hole every day. Working in education, I'm obviously not a suit, but I do almost fish daily in collared shirts, slacks, and nice shoes.

I fished fresh water in my fire gear once during a training day at the reservoir.(Biggest small mouth I ever caught)
But the weirdest outfit was the dress TattooBob made me wear on block island (or is that still our little secret?)
