OH MY GOD! SNOPES!

"using a Smith & Wesson customized .50 caliber revolver shooting 350 grain bullets."

An 11 year old shooting a .50 xframe? No f'in way.

This is a bit fishy.

The legendary Lost Creek Plantation located in Clay County Alabama is known for its trophy quality boar hunting. LCP is offering a once in a lifetime opportunity to harvest a truly giant boar. Just a few weeks ago, LCP was able to trap a giant boar that one of our Southeastern Trophy Hunters members was lucky enough to harvest. That boar weighed 627 pounds and was taken by Mike Stone of Stone Auctioneers. Eddy Borden, owner and operator of LCP, has just trapped another boar that dwarfs that giant.

This monster will weigh at least 1000 pounds - that is a ½ ton of pork! The beast is now roaming the wilds of the Lost Creek Plantation. We are offering this hunt on a no kill = no pay basis. The total cost of this hunt is $1500 and includes everything but the processing of the meat. The boar is jet black and has huge tusks.

Keith O'Neal and Chris Williams will be on hand to help guide and video this hunt. If you have ever wanted to take an animal of this magnitude, now is your chance! This beast will not last long, so if you are interested call us ASAP.

Yours in Hunting/Fishing,
Keith O'Neal
Southeastern Trophy Hunters

well, the lad was shooting 350 gr bullets (I would have preferred 700 gr or better yet just go to a .375 H&H mag rifle round), probably to manage recoil.

the .500's are not bad shooting the lighter 350 grain bullets. an 11 year old kid could do it, i don't know how accurately. the 700 grains are BEASTS tho.

16 rounds over 3 hours! i prefer a one-shot one-kill myself, but that's a kid who stuck with it. i don't see any blood coming out of the pig's mouth, which means the boy probably didn't get a good heart/lung shot in. if you look closely at the pics you'll see several entrance wounds above the gut.

My brother in law owns the 4" xframe. :tooth:

Guided hunt where they track the animal in a fenced in range. Gross.

mine is a performance center. don't shoot it much, ammo costs more than a .50 bmg round. i don't shoot it enough to justify the cost of an extra set of reloading dies.

Weewee.....

I want some bacon.

I remember when I was nine shooting my dads Dan Wesson 6" .44 mag, man that was fun.

I always prefered his .45 though.

Don't be surprised that an 11yr old could handle that gun.

I've fired a few T/C Contenders in my time.The .223 Rem and the 30/30 Win were crazy!I ain't a big guy and I managed quite well.Form
and technique are everything.
