Looking to scale down my bag ... trying to decide between a small tall bag by Aqua Skinz or the medium bag by Precision (the new bag company) ... would I find myself with too little space with the small tall bag from AZ for a night into morning trip?

You guys have any insights? I need to get one soon as I have a big lunky one that is too heavy ... especially when I have it filled with 36 plugs ...

I only use the small aquaskinz and love it. Used to use a large BW shoulder bag and hated casting all night with that bag. Now I don't have anything around my shoulders and would never go back. The small bag carries just enough plugs, usually 2 or 3 needles couple bombers/redfins, pencil popper for dawn and a large swimmer. Thats all I need, especially considering 99% of the time I fish eels anyways.

I like my medium aquaskinz, but the small-tall aquaskinzs is probably just fine. The medium has the nice pocket for tins and bucktails so that is kinda nice.

I just used my Small Tall the other night for the Tourney and loved it. I was pretty amazed at how much I could fit in it. its got a nice roomy pocket up front for leaders and rubbah too.

But I did learn a lesson......keep an eye on your leaders when opening it.......Remember mine floated away :D

I like the medium aquaskinz. I can stuff it way too much, but it is still manageable. It's pretty hard to go cold turkey when you are used to a big bag.

I matched the small with the small tall from Aquaskinz and it's the nuts. Symetrical side to side and nothing pulling on my shoulders. Just need to get one of their web belts that won't fold over on itself.....

stetzko makes a real nice one that i bought recently and it fits planos in it. not sure if u want that style though.

Precision bag has one Big fault. No place for tins.:confused: Aqua bag has it all.:jump:

Check out the New Bronco bags. A Lot more bag for the $$.

I picked a bronco a while ago, so far so good. The velcro is almost too strong. Definitely a good price/design.

Ross, take a look at pistol belts. You can get them through policeman supply companies. I have an Uncle Mike's Duty Belt and love it. Definately won't fold over on itself. Also has two releases to open it, decreasing the chance of it opening accidentally while wading - something that I learned the hard way with my old belt while out on BI

I'd recommend the medium AS bag if your just getting one. The tall small bag is good for a lot of things, but the medium is more versatile. If you carry the small on a strap like the medium, its probably not that much lighter. If you where the small on your belt its useless for deep wading. I think the small tall would be too small for an all night and dawn trip but that may be just me (I actually like the medium and small for night into morning trips). If you go with the medium, make sure you get the new model. The original ones had some issues and ripped along one of the seams - I went through 2.
