You may have been here 100 years, it don't mean squat if you're not part of their time table or agenda. They'll burn your house to make sure the birds have a spot. I wanna puke,,, Squid kids Dad 06-05-2007, 08:41 PM That really sucks zimmy 06-06-2007, 09:12 AM I am not sure if I missed something.... The cottage looked pretty wrecked. It is too bad that it got damaged, but it looked beyond repair? Would be nice if they replaced it. I really don't know the whole story... I wanna puke,,, :( gives me a real pit in my stomach :( :hs: Swimmer 06-06-2007, 05:58 PM I spent quite a lot of time out there in the late 50's early 60's era. Not much I didn't know then at least. My friends father owned on of the camps. gone fishin 06-07-2007, 08:08 AM Sad to see the landmarks disappear. I was out there recently and It was in bad shape. Karl - it looks like the other cottages on Pleasant bay sure look threatened by the new "inlet". I wonder if the NPS will burn those down as they become threatened. The loss of that cottage will open up more of the dunes to erosion by wind alone. I noticed that they buldozed that area flat, as I recall there was a dune starting to form around the old cottage. Beats the hell out of storm fencing and pallets!:faga: UserRemoved1 06-24-2007, 11:12 AM nice article Karl thanks for posting that. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
