OK... I would put this in the HOW TO THREAD but no one goes to that anymore.

OK... will someone please show me how to find bunker, what rig to snag it with, what time to go look for them, and any thing else you can think of on how to catch/(snag) Bunker.

PLZ I Wont ask anymore stupid questions if someone tells me this.

Everyone is trying to tell you that you have to do the legwork. There is no guarantee to anything.

Check your local harbors on the bay and sound side. Go at night, check under the lights, go early in the am watch the surface before the boat traffic starts, hit the local beaches and inlets and LOOK for them. Be armed with a couple of big weighted treble hooks. If they are around and in good numbers you should have no problem casting out past them... letting the treble sink a bit and then ripping it through the school. It takes some practice, but once you get it down its easy. You are basically trying to impale the pogies.

Making bait is actually pretty fun, go and give it a shot. You'lllearn a lot too. You may see bass or blues attacking the pogies while you are there... who knows. You have to put the time in to get good!:buds:

precisely. gotta go out and give it a go ureself. look up wat they look like and grab a weighted treble (10/0) from a bait store and go exploring. those buggers move around all the time and no one knows where exactly where theyll be. good luck to u.

Sometimes the pogies are a bit below the surface, so you see a darker patch of water. I have found that the schools create "queer" looking water with surface ripples marking the underlying fish. They move right along, so cast the weighted treble across the leading edge of the school. It is all or nothing with these bunker, you really need to get the treble hooks into the mass of the school to have luck snagging. If you are in a boat, go upwind and drift thru them with the engine off. Blast and dash just gets the schools all spooky and then they go down. If you have a livewell, or an aerated bucket, they will live for a long while. Bass candy. Yum.
