Scotch Bonnet 08-09-2002, 04:02 PM Yes, unless you have the state DEM pass. I think its $5 or $35 for the year. (lots of fish in the breachway right now!!!!) bebo113 08-10-2002, 03:36 AM you only have to pay between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm $6.00 monday through friday $7.00 saturday and sunday DRUMCORPFAN 08-10-2002, 01:56 PM Thanks for the info guys, I got there today at 7:30am. I fished the channel it was loaded with shad, I mean so thick they covered everything. Got three small stripers right around eight , I was using 6" rubber shad wild eye's. Baitfish made it tuff the stripers were just gulping them up.:D Bill L 08-10-2002, 03:40 PM Leo, 0730, what happened, overslept!?! Just kidding, but try 0300, sneak out back, and listen for the GULPS! I usually fish here later in the season to avoid the crowds, but it sure is nice in August. I'm not sure when the DEM gives up the ghost on collecting during the day, but during the fall you should be ok, sometimes depending on who's in the shack :smash: Scotch Bonnet 08-11-2002, 01:18 AM Tons of schoolies in the channel tonight. Caught 4, largest 28". Breachway is LOADED with bait. Almost as frustrating as the worm hatch. Incoming is best. Clammer 08-11-2002, 11:27 PM Scotch, which do you think is the best in the fall I,ve fished bot h charlestown and quanny both up in th echannel, both on the incoming from shore ----almost all schoolies, few shad Ive done better at quarry///// Thanks,Mike JohnR 08-12-2002, 06:59 AM Go to Quonnie :D I'll go to C-Town Scotch Bonnet 08-12-2002, 09:41 AM Mike, I just prefer C'town because its closer for me and access is easier to the mouth/beach/inside. This is my first year with a boat and I'm amazed at all the fish I see in the channel (in spots I never would have tried from shore). I get a great drift on the incoming in the middle of the night, I motor up to the breachway, cut the motor, shut off the lights and drift silently up into the pond. Can't wait til October! The breachway is loaded right now with bait and bass on the incoming day and night but the bait is small and the fish are finicky. Clammer 08-12-2002, 10:05 AM Scotch I guess its time to get the tin boat back in gear, OH S--- I,m not back in gear :smash: :smash: Thanks,Mike vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
