Billy "The #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&" Nolan grabbed a monster this morning. I was there and saw the fish a minute after she came over the side.
A real horse. Absolutely over 50#.
Pictures to follow I am sure.

Congrats to Bill. he has been putting in an extrodinary amount of hours on the Bay.

I also had a 50 this morning but it took 2 fish to make the 50#. Not complaining about two 25s.

06-11-2007, 10:19 AM
held it out best I could but its a little over 47 inches just about 48 so a tad short but about right all the fish are very big this year because they are so well fed, the fish was masive...Anyway, I am very happy with this fish, made my season thanks guys..put alot of time and effort to get this one, lots of fuel and 2am wakeups to get bait...finally paid off...first Boat 50 !:humpty:

holy cow. beautiful fish. i have never seen one that chubby. it resembles more of a large, largemouth than a striper. it's all but lost that nice clean torpedo shape. very nice. i think it may have been eating all the fish i've caught so far. :rotf2:

How many smaller fish do you have to go through on the way to catching those couple of 40s and the 50? I imagine there all competing to get in a photo op with you.

awesome fish. That girl is fat. That fish deserves a skin mount. They are expensive, but they are far superior. My dad's 60# bass is 40 years old and still looks as good as day one.

Congrats!

wow!! congrats on another 50 Bill!
you have proven that a boat is a very deadly thing in the hands of a surfcaster!!!

You always seem to say something with lots of wisdom and sense! I could not agree more, what I learned in the Surf has helped me untold amounts in the boat..I use all the same things and also rely on my senses much more then electronics... Here is a pic while coming in today..thanks for the pic annynomous camara man..Did I say how much I love this little boat !!

I think about that all the time, however I really love this boat, extrememly economical and it goes everyplace I want to go, the biggest problem I have is that it really is only a one man boat, Thats not a problem because I prefer to fish solo but now and then I like to take a friend but its tough...I finally have the boat tricked out exactly the way I want it...its just a straight forward fishing machine....I see those super exotic fishing machines and then it hits me what the fuel cost is and overall cost of ownership and I also see that I am catching just as much if not more than the guy with 40 thousand dollar rig..This boat has been good to me and I love it...I especially love that I burn about 2 and a half gallons at wide open throttle an hour and thats at a speed of 32mph....There great boats, the other plus is that its so easy to trailer and there is really nolt much maintainence, now I cant go out in super rough water but to be honest thats not fun in larger boats either, so again for what this rig cost me it was a steal..I would say to anyone looking for a boat....these are a great buy!

I know I already said this, but it was only a matter of time. I think you'll get more too, seeing we have four more months to go. Nice going. Keep taking advantage of the situation as you never know how long it will last. Gotta be a 60 there someplace given all the large you're seeing and catching. I'm rooting for you.
