I thought the skates were bad last year, but at least by this time last year I was pulling keepers out of Dorchester Bay, this year has been a different story. I catch 10 clearnose skates for every 1 fish. Are they any good as bait cut up, perhaps for bluefish or sharks?

They make good lobster bait, there is a place in Pt Judith that sells tons of them for lobster bait.
