I heard on another thread that a bass will eat a small blue is this true? If so how do you rig it, Like a pogie?? I would expirement but I dont want to kill a fish for no reason if the stripers wont take it.

It's true. My buddy had a 30#inhale a small blue he had on a plug , friday. We caught a few small blues and they were chaced around by the bass while we landed them. Might be the key to landing a 50#er.
Also we caught 15# blue, 38" on Friday along with 60 or so 20#+ bass:kewl:

Yes, they'll eat 'em, but I've found that they rather eat an eel than chase a Blue. Try it though, thats the only way to learn.

I've done it and yes they do. you'd be surprised how big you can go with the blue fish.Rig it just like you would any other live fish. don't worry about putting on allot of weight unless your in moving water as the hooked snapper blue will go right for the bottom, until a big striper is on it's tail. Then they fly up to the surface. then let the fun begin. 10 to 12 inches is perfect. smaller will work well and up to 15" will catch a tuna or cow striper if there's one around.
