Marine Robbing Liquor Store Caught on Tape

A Camp Pendleton Marine who is suspected of armed robbery is recovering after he was shot by a clerk at an Oceanside liquor store.

Surveillance video from the robbery Saturday night at Big Liquor on Redondo Drive showed Lance Corporal McKenzie Smith, 20, as he held up the store with a gun.

One of the clerks then pulled out his own gun and shot Smith.

Smith was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The clerks were not injured.

Holding the weapon like a street thug. Had it taken away quite easily. He is lucky the store clerk didn't empty six into him.
