Going to be on the Cape for the 4th week and was wondering what celebrations are good? Where are the good fireworks and when are they? Any info would be great? Wellfleet/Provincetown.....down that way??

Wellfleet usually puts on a nice fireworks display, but if i remember correctly they do it non the 5th. You can check the paper when you get there or ask almost anyone in Wellfleet center or at the pier...

BobT and I spent many 4th of Julys on the Cape. We were fishing and not chasing down firework shows. Back then anyways, you could see several shows accross CCB right from Race Point.

Falmouth usually has the best fireworks show. I think they're on the 6th this year.

You can see nice fireworks from the party boat that cruises the canal from Onset. You can call them , they will tell you which night is the fireworks cruise. the year I went with my girlfriend they was no big crowd on the boat either. They motor to about the Cribben , then they drift around while you watch the fireworks , then back to onset at a reasonable time. I thought is was a great night.

Been to the 4th a bunch of times on the Cape. Always saw the P-Town fireworks which are respectable imo. Was there last year, unfor. you couldn't see much due to the rain/fog. Believe it or not traffic wasn't too bad the week of the 4th. Great view of fireworks from Cape View motel in Truro, sit on the back deck with a glass of red - not too shabby.

Not this year---no fireworks in Onset :( Haven't been any in Bourne for ages.

I saw this list of 4th events online when I was reading about the guy rowing across the Atlantic.

Mike - Falmouth is the 4th and it's gonna rain . . . remember the year they blew up th barge and the next year they got shut down by the Fire Marshall cause the guy in charge of "supervising" the shoot was actually over on the Vineyard doing another event :rotfl:

I was there for the Great Barge Explosion. Best grand finale I ever saw, albeit 3 minutes into the show ;)

I checked the CC Times yesterday and saw that they're on the 4th. I was going to correct this thread but ya beat me to it.
