View Full Version : ray allen???? nightprowler 06-29-2007, 12:22 PM nothing on here about the C's aquisition last night....what do you guys think about Ray Allen wearing the green for the next couple of years? The Dad Fisherman 06-29-2007, 12:40 PM What do I think.......Ainge has got to go. nightprowler 06-29-2007, 01:24 PM hahaha seems to be the general consensus. It should make them better initially, especially if allen can stay healthy. and giving up wally wasnt a bad thing. but im not sure about that 5th pick.... Slipknot 06-29-2007, 01:36 PM I think the Bruins have raised up a notch above the celts Ainge has a strange way of getting a championship for Pierce I wonder if he'll have to do what Bourque had to resort to :rollem: I thought they need defense and a large man:huh: :pop: fishsmith 06-29-2007, 02:20 PM I like the deal, anything to see this team get better. if Pierce and Allen can put up the #'s they've historically had, and Jefferson continues to get better, we should have a pretty good team. Dumping Wally's salary should bring us another quality player too. It's hard watching the celtics when you lived thru the Bird years, but the NBA in general doesn't compare to those days. and like Jim Morrison say's "The West is the Best" . root root root for the home team, that's all I can do. IMHO the NBA needs to drop about 10 teams because this league just doesnt' have the talent (or fans) to support all teams. Skip N 06-29-2007, 03:34 PM I like it, better than drafting another young kid and hopeing he'll be a player, instead, they go out and get a veteran All Star. One of the best shooters in the game. How much longer do Celtics fans want to be in this freakin "rebuilding" mode anyway!? Bring in some good Veteran players to compliment the young kids they have. BigFish 06-29-2007, 04:19 PM The guy had surgery on BOTH ankles in April and can't even walk yet!!! Yeah, reall good deal! Bet the Seattle brass is laughing their balls off!:rollem: Squid kids Dad 06-29-2007, 06:10 PM I dont think Ainge is done yet...Still talk of Garnet partsjay 06-29-2007, 08:35 PM There will be more trades....not a bad deal, his surgery was for bone chips....should be better when healed, if it was a knee or elbow, or something...thats different....the East is weak....with another decent trade, this team could contend for the East...not for the Championship.....you can't win with 20-23 year old players....unless it's Lebron. hyefisherman2 06-29-2007, 09:08 PM i thought it was an ok trade, but dissapointed about loosing west. MrHunters 06-30-2007, 06:48 AM one word. old. that said. if they don't have something up their sleeve to compliment this deal... it was poor poor poor. you know when you hear about a guy that makes ridculous amounts of money and you say "i could do that job"........... yea. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
