Staying with my wifes friends near Turo this week. My wife tells her friends how much I like fishing and suggests that I take them out.
Now I fish from a boat out of Seabrook NH and can tell you where to fish & when, I'm usually out two or three times a week. But I have only been to this area once ( never fishing) & don't have a clue of where or when & what to fish for.
I have information on boat rentals from Flyers boat rental & that's all!!!
Any help would be appreciated, I just don't what to look like a complete dork and get skunked. What's the stripper action, what do you use for bait or plugs, where is there a good bait & tackle shop, should I go for blues, what do you use for blues, HELP, TIA.

For the price of a boat rental you could take a charter fishing trip instead, definitely catch fish, not have to worry about spots and impressing your guests, and have all the tackle supplied to you. Personally, I'd rock a good charter.

Go to Race Point and along the beach there.
If your in Truro, I think there is a ramp in the Pamet river.
I have fished from that river mouth along the shore towards the PATH near Wellfleet (an obvious path on land to the shore).
Got some decent blues there.
Or,
Look for the fleet in that area and Billingsgate shoal.
Or,
If the boat is big enough do the race point thing that Saltheart mentioned.
Don't know about charters.
Good Luck.:D

Skurf,
Bro you got it made. Dont rent a boat. Go down to the fishing docks in Provincetown and scope yourself out a charter fishing boat. Dont rent...(I actually dont know of nayplace to rent a boat down there) Heres the deal..... 5 miles off of race point produces some of the best fishing on the MA coast. Catch everything from tuna to cod. I am not sure how to fish offshore but I have many stories from Race Point.... IF you own a truck take the course spend the 40 bucks and go for a beach cruise... DEF FIND FISH... Big Blues with stripers sparslye mixed in. The blues will hit just about anything if you dont have the too much bait syndrome... IF that is the case I would highly suggest a 3/4 ounce rattle trap any color or a 5 inch crystal minnow.. Its all up to you... Live eels work in P-town harbor...
Good luck man..
any more questions let me know
