Fished for tuna in waters unfamiliar to me, but I have been very fortunate to have been learning from an old PRO who fished tuna commercially (stick boats and general cat boats) for years and we took my boat (south) to learn a new location and to target larger fish!
New location, same results !

7 hook ups
4 in the boat (2 came home, 2 released)
2 released at the side of the boat
1 (small giant) 6ft+ that spit the hook as I had the leader in my hand :eek5: ( I didn't have the harpoon fully rigged to use :af: )

Best part of the day, we had 0 boats near us all morning !
I'll be back at it again early tomorrow , but the harpoon will be fully rigged and ready for use !!!
