Look what took shape up on tower hill road this weekend. Started Fri. at 1:00 and had the roof on and plywooded sat at 3:00. Sorry no pictures from Sat. as the bat. in my phone craped out on the way over. Should have doors and windows in this week and finished in one more weekend.

Looking good! Did you figure out electric service yet? Maybe we can build a garage in September to house a S-B.com golfcart!:hihi:

How much did that lot cost?

Thanks guys we had fun lugging all the lumber down to the site. Ross no electric as of yet and they want $10,000.00 to hook up to the island system so thats not going to happen to soon. Swimmer the lot cost was only a few thousand but that was back in 1955. It is a full acre and the last offer we had from someone was back in 1993 and it was $500,000. Figure it has doubled in price since then:shocked:

Crazy question - can we build solar electricity for it? Cheap from scratch :hee: ?

Gas generator, after the neighbors hear that they would probably foot the bill to have it hook up to the grid :bl:

Looking good Greg.

Dig a hole or build a little sandbag bunker and you won't be able to hear the generator, or since it is a semi permanant set-up, you could build a small sound proof generator shed..

Besides with some of generators available today you can stand next to a 5KW and hold a conversation.

Ross new regulations in the works for the island that you can not park carts overnight at the docks anymore. You will need to have land on island to park. GB's:rotf2: parking lot. John I need to talk to you about solar power for a few bat. to run a compost toilet.

Say hi to my brother Karl, I think he's just down the road for three weeks. Probably the only Vt boat at the dock.

Just an update on the work and pictures. Windows are in as of yesterday. Patio door and front door by next weekend and roof covered next weekend also. A few deer left their calling card at the front door.

Yes John you can hunt deer on the island but now adays they want you to have land on the island to hunt. The state even has a check in station on island for shotgun week.

Try a wind mill turbine and solar this should do just fine for power
