I was in a boat but my bait was almost on shore. numbskull 07-18-2007, 07:25 PM Go Finaddict 07-18-2007, 08:22 PM Numbskull ..how big are those fish? RedHerring 07-18-2007, 09:39 PM The fishing at Cuttyhunk has been appallingly bad. The worst I have ever seen. It only promises to get worse with the advent of the commercial season... Flaptail 07-19-2007, 04:42 AM Go cheater!:uhuh: numbskull 07-19-2007, 06:04 AM Numbskull ..how big are those fish? Small, maybe 5 and 10. But you don't get doubles without alot of fish. You don't get alot of fish without alot of bait. Combine alot of bait and alot of rocks.....throw in some deep cold water.....a dark moon..... at very least you've got something to work with. Vogt 07-19-2007, 06:13 AM Thanks guys. RedHerring 07-20-2007, 09:08 PM OK, don't believe me if you want. Go ahead. Knock yourself out; unless something changes, there are no fish at the island. Nothing in Sakonnet, Westport, or Dartmouth either. I know; I have tried...I am taking some time off to do family things; maybe things will improve as Narr. Bay warms up... fcap60 07-21-2007, 05:12 AM Professor Vogt: Go For It- you are at the right age and have the enthusiasm. You never know what you'll catch out there, plus you already know the island a bit. If you wanted to go somewhere a little closer to home with a sliightly easier walk, you can do a commando run to Block Island also. Either way, go for it young man Goose 07-21-2007, 07:10 AM If your content with the 'resident fish' then that's cool you'll find those any night and the occasional 20ish pound fish are common but to say your gonna hook up to quality fish?... I wouldn't spend all my time there. It seems nothing ever changes, a lot of people think Cutty is the quick fix, yeah sure. IMO, the last few years(summer months) have been wicked suxy. OK, post your 30# fish from last night now. Vogt 07-21-2007, 07:20 AM Anything is better than the current situation in my area, even schoolies have been hard to come by these past few weeks. flyben24 07-21-2007, 08:07 AM OK, don't believe me if you want. Bay warms up... no fish at cuttyhunk????? if theres no fish there, theres no fish whatsoever... maybe you just need to try a new fishing style... the fish are there baldwin 07-21-2007, 10:30 AM Never saw any fish out there.
