About half way through my cast, the bail on my real slammed shut and my beautiful Tattoo Tackle Sea Dog went flying into the dark ocean. I then realized, “maybe I should get myself a bailless reel.”:(

that was probably my number 1 reason for switching over to VS's....

My AH creamsicle spook is floating east as we speak, heart broken. That was one of my best plugs, actually the colors were reversed compared to the ones Don makes now. That plug crushed fish  .......
I always wanted to hang it, as it took my biggest fish, but I just could not pull it out of my bag:fishslap:

Penn ss series reel would be my guess. Go bail-less, young man.

I too lost some very nice plugs on bailed reel. (Penn 8500SS) thats why I switched over to the VS250 and I have no complaints about it

Anyone know any shops in the south shore or RI area that I can go put my hands on a VS250? I like to get my hands on stuff before I drop that much cash on it
