Alot of small businesses are now going to be gone. The big mill on Depot St that holds about 50 businesses is now a 4th alarm :(

Please keep these people in your thoughts today from the sounds of it over the last hour it's going to be a total loss.

thats sad.... perhaps in retrospect the ultimate flamability of those old buildings makes them unsuitable for anything other than demolition.

I just got back from there it's about a mile down the road from the house. General Alarm there are Boston and Worcester Ladders there now. About 50 businesses in there. An absolute shame. There are people there who are friends and have lost it all. :(

Only 2 mills left in town. This was THE center of Uxbridge and one of the largest textile mills on the east coast. It employed about 1000 people in it's day. You might see some of my pictures on channel 5 today.

Still cranking. Going to be a total loss. Poor people. I shudder to think that my lure business was almost there last year. I looked at space in there.

Anything over 6 alarms is a general alarm which means any available fire dept please respond. The %$%$%$%$ really hit the fan today. This is going to have a devastating effect on this town and many people in town have now lost their jobs.

The thing is still burning, it's a total loss. They're releasing some of the companies but this will definitely go the nite into tomorrow with hot spots. I've heard rumors of this being set by 4 kids and they've caught two...if it's true then I saw them this morning and the cops knew one of them too.WTH is a teenager doing out roaming around at 4-5am.

There is now an emergency water ban in the town of Uxbridge, the water tanks are now empty and everyone has very low pressure.

I would like to setup a fundraiser to benefit these people or someone who has been impacted by this the most. Anyone else interested?

yea they got some good mileage out of them Fred. I send them about 60 high res digitals and they just picked whatever they wanted.

Man I guess they got good mileage on that stuff :) They credited me on the news yesterday a few times, and still this morning. Still the top stroy on the website too. Shoot I should have sold them probably could have made a few bucks. Oh well.

They're still rehabbing the place. Officially for size it's now 11 alarms.

Saw the smoke trail for miles early Saturday morning on 146 N as I was heading home from a late night of fishing the Newport area. Best Wishes to the business owners.
