You see the other day when those 2 news copters in Arizona collided and crashed to the ground while covering a high speed auto chase on the ground?? Well they are saying that the man involved in the high speed chase may be held responsible for the deaths of the 4 people who were killed in the crash??? Now, don't get me wrong.....I understand that the crash never would have happened had the man not been involved in the high speed chase to begin with but I think its a real stretch to try and pin the deaths of these 4 people on him!!! My reasoning is this......there was a pilot and a camera man on each copter, the job of the camera man is to get the chase on video, the job of the pilot is to pay attention to where they are flying, not watching the damn chase!!! I heard the audio of the pilots and it seems that one or both of the pilots was at fault for the crash as they did not know the other copter was in the area!!! Seems they have to blame someone for everything these days!!!:doh:

I can see charging the guy. Both were top pilots. It's my understanding they didn't fly into each other from the same height, one came up from underneath the other. I could see that happening, but they were supposed to be in contact with each othere on the chopper channel and obviously weren't. Bottom line is I think they'll find it a total accident when the final report comes out.

But the loser who they caught taking a nap at a friends house, yea I think he should be charged.

There were 3 choppers there, 1 police and 2 News. That's to(two?) many. The TV Stations' greed killed those men.

The choppers had no need to be there. If you want the scoop , you are responsible if you die trying to get it. The guy in the car has nothing to do with helicopters. You might stretch to say the police chopper had to be there and somehow he might be liable if they crashed but the news choppers are needless parasites who live or die on their own accord.

The driver did not put the copter folks at risk. They put themselves at risk by following the chase. I can see charging the driver if he passed someone and they pulled over to get out of the way and got into an accident.

There ar no accidents only crashes that happen for a reason! If a felony had occurred during the chase or it was the reason for the chase then the felony-murder rule may apply.

I think it is a stretch though, regardless.

There is not a lawyer in the land can make charges like this stick!:wiggle:

And Don't be surprised that if they can't convict on Criminal charges that the families won't sue in Civil Court either.

felony murder? how is a guy in a car being chased by police negligent for 2 copters colliding with each other? he didn't hit either one did he? :hs: I just don't see it. Those choppers are responsible to now what is flying around them. Wussification of America, if a judge aloows this bull, that is all it is. I feel for the families of the victims but if the news didn't sensationalize this stuff it wouldn't happen either, let them sue the news stations.

I was going to bring that up. His father wanted to sue everyone from the bartender who served him, the bar owner, the cell phone company (I kid you not - he was on the phone when he crashed), the tow truck driver and the woman who was broken down. Recently, he dropped the suit. He probably came to his senses and realized that it was his son's fault. Unfortunately, we live in a litigious world where it is always someone's fault and the person who feels like they were wronged expects to get money for their "pain and suffering". What a bunch of lazy pieces of feces we are surrounded by.

By the time that case is about done......his family will realize what a stupid SOB their son was and that maybe, just maybe......it was his fault and his fault alone! People in this country need to start taking responsibility for their own actions......and if they can't, then the friggin courts need to make them see the light!!!! Seems you can't breath, piss or crap without someone wanting to sue you these days!!!!:rtfm:
