UserRemoved1 08-03-2007, 05:51 PM yea but it don't do algae the pump has to do that. My fault for not being here much this week and not checking the chlorine. It's clearer already. Raven 08-03-2007, 05:57 PM usually thats where ya have one of those hockey puck sized chlorine tablets to maintain the clorine levels on the very hot days UserRemoved1 08-03-2007, 06:05 PM yea i do that about twice a month Raven. Any more and the chlorine level is too high. I haven't done it in a week so it started to algae either yesterday or today. I neverlooked at it so it could have been like that foir even 3-4 days. Karl F 08-03-2007, 06:19 PM don't blame me.. i just purged the steamers in it, so that should only leave sand.. right? Raven 08-03-2007, 06:34 PM one of the best jobs i ever had was a pool cleaner in the swanky la jolla neighborhood of sandiego county richie riches ....chickies would be getting a full tan by the pool and couldn't care less if you were there cleaning the pool....or not... they loved to be a complete tease....:kewl: Nebe 08-03-2007, 06:36 PM come on down to the sweat shop salty... today it was around 117 in the studio... sweating is really good way to get rid of toxins and is great for your heart. Everyone comes back to work in the fall, and I start taking time off to fish and hunt.:kewl: riverrat55 08-04-2007, 09:27 PM Check your PH level and you might want to backwash the filter after 4 or 5 hours and then let it run for another 4 to 5 hours. Also add some water clarifier and vacuum when all done. Backwash filter again when you are all done with that too. saltydog 08-05-2007, 11:11 AM BEEN threw the same thing some years back. Next year it probally will be hotter once the Gas and Steam turbines are up and running. THomT sound like a serious set up.. is your job to maintain them?? I build all sorts of high temp equipment for melting glass... fun stuff. fire and brimstone etc.. riverrat55 08-05-2007, 10:03 PM HTH is a brand of pool products. Every 4 or 5 weeks I will buy a packet of the HTH powdered supershock and throw it in the pool and let the pump run all night to filter the water. Your water will not be as clear after 4 or 5 weeks no matter what you do. So, just add the HTH supershock and by morning the water will be as clear as when you first opened the pool. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
