View Full Version : Looking for review of a blank tlapinski 08-28-2002, 01:34 PM in my ever growing collection of rods, i have a need for a glass jetty stick. i prefer a 10' rod, and like what i see of the lami SB1213M on paper. but, i have not felt it in the real world. it would be a jetty plugging rod mostly. anything from bombers to atom 40's. i will be building it as a conventional. so, any reviews? jeffsod 08-28-2002, 03:16 PM Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that is the primary blank Mike Thomas at M&D's uses for his 'Canal Special' rods. Mikecc built one for me and it makes a great plugging stick for the canal. It won't cast a bomber but can toss down to about 1 1/2 oz to 2 oz min. it can be used jigging also, although it's a little springy for that. I can cast 4 1/2 oz megabait jig a long way and mine is a spinner. tlapinski 08-30-2002, 03:24 PM thanks a lot, all. i may have to give it a try.
