Very Cool. Maybe that will be part of the new recruiting video for the Navy. Scotch Bonnet 08-28-2002, 03:20 PM Makes me proud to be an American!!!! fishsmith 08-28-2002, 03:26 PM I posted in support of this on the "other site" and I'll do the same over here, Any R&R these guys can get is good with me. That is a very cool CO to allow the fishing. gilligan 08-28-2002, 05:38 PM about ten years ago and had always wanted to give it a shot but our commanding officer would have nothing to do w/ it. not even off the sponsons in port. its good to see that those guys get a little slack. i was on a carrier so maybe that had something to do with it, alot more crewmembers. 179 08-29-2002, 09:43 AM I was stationed on a DDG Guided Missile Destroyer out of Pearl Harbor from 1983-1987, we used to troll for Mahi-Mahi and tuna off of the fantail, when taking a break from training maneuvers. It was great fun and good for moral, the cooks onboard would then prepare it for dinner. Pretty funny to be trolling for fish using a 100+ million dollar battle ship....:) vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
