Charity Tournament FYI.
There is only one week left to enter the fifth annual Leo Almeida Memorial North Shore Striped Bass Tournament! This charity event will be held Labor Day Weekend, September 1st through 3rd, 2007. All proceeds will benefit North Shore area food pantries.
For an entry fee of $10.00, entrants can compete for cash grand prizes in one of two divisions-"From Boat" and "From Shore or Surf." There is also a Junior Division for kids 15 and under. Entrants other than grand prize winners will be eligible for a raffle which includes prizes donated by almost thirty artisans, marine-related businesses and restaurants across the North Shore. Even if you don't land a winning fish you'll still have a shot at a great prize. To celebrate our fifth tournament, the angler landing a tournament record fish will win an extra $100 prize. All five-year participants will receive a striped bass pin in recognition of their loyalty.
