Maybe a gold crying towel as well? I like Youk as a player and he has been outstanding at first base. But lately his whining at the plate has put me off him. He had been swinging the bat really well but he has to understand Cooperstown is a long ways away.

But I agree, he has been playing excellent in the feild.

Yup, he's been lights out at 1st, Sox have the #1 defense this year, would be nice to see Coco get one as well, he's been a highlight reel in center this year.

They'll give it to someone else who has a reputation, just like they gave the short stop GG to Jeter last year instead of Gonzo. Justin Morneau will probably get it because he was the MVP last year, so he is more well known than Youkilis.

Although he had a bit of a rough start they should give Lowell a make-up GG 'cause he shoulda won it last year!!

if that were the case then you wouldnt have the same people winning it time and time again... I think its kind of like a lineman going to the pro bowl.. once your in it's tougher to NOT get it.

By the way....Lowell has the highest career fielding percentage among all third basemen.....living, dead, currently active or retired....best ever!!! That is mightitly impressive!
