Green Pond in Falmouth is good. Quick run through the inlet, decent ramp. What size boat? We launch up to a 24 no problem. Watch for the end of ramp at low tide, it's marked. Area is loaded right now, should be awesome day. Good luck.

DO NOT launch at Green Pond. Huge drop that I've seen many trailers lost at. Go down to Falmouth harbor, there is a ramp there with plenty of parking, an easy ride to the water, and no drops. Post a report when you get back.

Falmouth harbor has a nice ramp and puts you right in the sound. I heard the same about green pd, Too bad that was the best.

I couldn't find parking at Falmouth Harbor so I always used Green Pond. Where is the parking?

Green pond is very steep and sandy. I had the truck slide a bit once as I backed my boat in. I'ts pretty scary, but luckily I sptopped when the boat hit the water.

Can be tough pulling out and getting the boat square on the trailer because of the depth/slope.

Sand on Green Pond Ramp?? Its wood ramp with a big drop, never seen sand on that ramp!

I have used Green Pond for 10 years, and have never backed past the sign, and never have had a problem.

But Falmouth is a nice ramp and never have to worry about parking.

launched at 6 am. fog was spotty but doable. found a few scattered schools outside the harbor w/ no hookups. ran over to the vinyard - a bunch of boats chasing few fish around tashmoo. ran the whole nw side of the island w/ no signs of life. headed north to the elizibeths - still no luck, no birds - nothing. kept on running and found the mother load. only problem was they wouldn't bite. a couple of hundred casts later and we called it a day. final tally - 1 albie in the boat. i used to think tarpon were frustrating but these guys gave me a run for my money. i should have fished for their bigger cousins in ccb. a little bird says he had a good day but i'll let him tell that story. good luck and go get em, it will all be over all too soon, paul
