Up here in Gloucester the leaves are changing and falling. I'm trying to figure out if it's cause Fall is in full swing or the recent drought. Probably a bit of both. Time to get out there and fish while we still can.

"I believe in the soul, the rod, the reel, the small of a striper's back, the breachways, red bull, good eels, that the novels of fishing writers are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Al McReynold's acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing private beach access and the taking of shorts. I believe in the sweet spot of a rod, soft-core bass pornography, cathing your stripers at sunrise rather then sunset and I believe the fall run is on"

The leaves are changing and falling due to low water in the water table, It is what tree do because they don't want to die so they don't want to waste the water and it goes where it is most needed to stay alive. Up north Ma. where I fish it is so slow they either passed us by or it hasn't started yet

They are ramping up and are in the same usaul staging areas as every year. In 10 or so days all hell will break loose in all the usual areas. Daytime fishing will be awesome and so will the ditch. The hardcore will have Mass fish until the end of the first week in November possibly later.
