Shooting stars.... awesome weather... no bugs... The only thing missing was fish!

Granted, I was with some real noobies and one of them broke my light within 5 mins... so it wasnt a great situation.... but... at least it was nice out... :)

I could of walked across the canal in a few spots there seemed to be so much bait.

Yeah it was magical alwight :spin:....I fished with THE infamous "Fish-Hound" and one of S-B's popularTonys - They got into fish almost instantly.....I got a bump, and that might have been because one of them wise guys hit my rod while I wasn't looking...:lasso:

Then Tony asks if he can try my new SW1209 with a loose reel seat, you know...the one I haven't caught a fish on yet.......he casts 3 times, gets fish on 2 of the 3 casts. "Fish-hound" starts laughing as he hooks up as well......I wrestle my rod back, get my sleeve torn off by Tony........ and to get pepe' le pu again. :rude:

I told both them guys, "I always KILL EM' when I go by myself and there's noBODY else there.:hee:


Wish I could have made the gathering, I miss all my sweet-tarts.

it was cold miserable here. got out at like 6:30 hooked into two decent blues with in 5 mins of arriving and then nothing until 1 am.. cold, windy, no fish, no women, no beer, can't eat cause of having teeth ripped out.. magical indeed.. :af:

of course my night was also tainted by the fact that, i was bed ridden on drugs cause of the teeth being pulled.. and i wasnt at my spot for the first time in a month.. a whole month of catching nothing but blues... and guess what happens the day i'm not there? 5 keepers weighed in up to 40 lbs.. they chased a large school of bunker in.. :af::af::af::af::af:

seriously the one friggan day i'm not there.. i'm starting to think about quitting for the year.. the fish obviously hate me.. what ever as soon as my ride returns with my rods 'll be out there.. wnat to be out now but of course not.. i'll get to the shop just on time to hear how they blitzed in my spot again..

hey Bubba, I know your spot and that 40 lber talk was "BS", I was there and I pulled 3 of the only 4 keeperscaught on Sat afternoon/early evening and nothing was over 23 lbs, the bait shop person and everyone that goes in there lies, give me a call around 4 today, maybe we can get out tonight

one was weighed in at 37lbs around 2 or 3.. i just rounded up cause 40 sounds better.

besides.. thats what, your like second time fishing there since july and you catch 3 keepers?! i haven't caught a bass since july.. and i'm in that spot atleast every other day.. :af:

fish hate me.. i quit.. i've tried everything every where and catch jack. you show up and it's always a keeper.. what the hell do you do at night?!? i know you have some crazy traditions going on.. then again.. when you fish with us you get cursed.. you go from catching tons of fish to only catching a few.. one day you will join us in catching no fish. EVER. and then you will feel our pain.. :devil:


this also reminds me of that time you went to a lake i've fished for 20 years. and in those twenty years i've only caught two decent fish.. you show up and hook into a 4lb large.. seriously.. stop it! :D

at least i can catch more bloooos than you :rotf2:

edit on: HA TOLD YA!!! you fish with us you catch nothing!! even with that school of bunker in our spot.. i think we caused 9 boats and 5 other guys to not catch anything either! i knew we were friggan cursed..

yeah, last night did suck, oh well, I had an awesome weekend, 7 keepers and over 20 blues, not gonna complain about that, and I hear you on the killing the action for everyone, I never catch fish with you....lol...except for that spot we fish at the wrong tide and wrong time of day where there aren't supposed to be any fish anyhow but we kill em, boat fishing as soon as I have some time brother than you can have your keeper too
