Well I went out and back and thats a good thing!

Motor runs awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!And you guys were right, the motor idles perfect in the water!!

we headed out, not with out problems, I will address that at the bottom.

Seas light and we make it to the no wake zone and i hit the gas, wow right up she came and rode great!! but then the seas started to rise and the ferry traffic, I hit the tabs and bow right down, and what a ride!

you know right away that you not in the V20 anymore!! she is heavy, but rear heavy with a light nose, she rides solid!! we going over 3 & 4 footers with ease and not a bang!!
Friend pete says wow this is so nice, I have to get me one! Then says I guess I won't lose anymore teeth in this boat!

Ok now the problems

1. Need Longer bow rope! You guys would have laughed you a$$ off watching the clown act!!

2. Shift adjustment, in the yard I hear a small grind when I went in reverse, but the prop spun, but in the water the grind was there and no reverse?
But all I did was put the cables from one motor to the other and thought they be fine?

3. That Bimi top is gone!! way to low, my head hitting it, can't see out the windows they two low.
So I guess I have to go for a hole new enclouser :'(

4. I have a Tilt & Trim leak, and could not get the motor down with out turning the releaf screw.

Its the worse news as it is the center ram, which means I have to get that big rusted pin out then the nuckle off to replace the O ring.
I am going to try to see if the cap is lose?, But I can see the oil leak at the SS center rod.

I was wondering if power steering stop leak, Like Lucas, would stop it or should I not even try a addative??

5 I might need reproping?? It was hitting 6000 on the tac but not sure the tac is right? Seems to me it reads a bit high at idle also?

So thats the list, all and all I am a happy camper!! ;D ;D ;D

So I am getting two good battreys today and two new battery boxes and going to clean up the rear transom area now that I am done with the tabs and stuff.

Wasn't bad for my first run! :beat:

Nice ride indeed. Your going to love that galley when it's hot and nasty or later in the Fall.

Outstanding! Great report as well. Nothing like a new-to-you boat. I like the bracket on the back. Makes the boat feel like it is that much longer and helps a ton with top-end. I notice at WOT when I begin to trim up, the boat gets up and really goes. I'm sure you will clean up that transom area and get all your stuff sorted out as well.

Nice going to a bigger boat. I know how nice it is going up in length and weight on the new boat and when I went back on the old boat I wanted off. What I thought was so incredible back in the day was not so great anymore as the bar was lifted.

The transom got pretty good cleaned up today and I have to go get 2 new batterys & Boxes

That transom area will have a new cover with doors put on in the spring made of Starboard.
Also behind one door will be a salt water wash down, and a built in tackle box like Bigbo and I made for the old boat.

Yep this rode so nice that I think I will go out of boating before I down size!

Joe I see a kicker motor bracket:cputin:
I have a 25 foot boat with a 225 hp motor.....
The best thing i ever did was put on the kicker motor mount...I don't like to troll much but there are times when it's better.....

I have a 9.9 hp
I also have a tiller extension.

the 18hp will be more then you need but that's good ...
if the mount can handle it.

It is nice to have a second motor...you never know when stuff happens that second motor could get you out of a jam...
