What's up for the weekend?

Migration is in full swing. Mid October is historically a GREAT time for LARGE (as well as historically being blown out on occasion). Fish are out to be chased and intercepted Everywhere!

Mid October is also good for some BASEBALL! Go Sox!

This weekend also brings the cheating and devious Patriots to go up against the leaders of honesty and integrity, The Cowboys :rotf2:

So what's up for the weekend?

Friday evening....watch the Sox...then out fishing "wicked hahd" as it is the last overnight of the Derby

Sat morning...keep fishing into the morning then hopefully weigh something in...at least snoop around hoping nobody bumps me (currently leading flyrod shore S_B)

Sat afternoon...pack up the shack to make things easier on Sunday

Sat pm...the bell rings closing to Derby...hanging at the weigh station watching the last minute fish come in and watching the leaders (could one be me....please) sweat each and every truck is pretty cool. A party atmosphere to say the least.

Sun am...close the shack and off to the Derby awards ceremony...then go home, unpack and oh by the way...listen to the Pats no matter what I am doing.

Club has a weeklong tournament -CT surf only. So far one guy leads at 48 1/2 inches and another guy at 48 inches. So all I have to do is beat that by Sunday:hs:

I've been on vacation this week, mon. took jr and his boss out on the boat and caught 20 black sea bass 2-4lbs., lots of big scup, had to toss back, on the way in blue fish 1 after the other pushed up on shore chasing bait. Skunked at ditch every day and night this week, but loved it. Been clamming for soft shells with my oldest boy and got a full peck every time. Ate a lot of clams and black sea bass this week, been the most relaxing week off I've had in years!! Even got to spend some time with the mrs with her hectic work scheduele. Sat am, at ditch! Hope to score 1.
