UserRemoved1 10-22-2007, 05:19 AM Norman there's a bunch of guys online that specialize in new old stock stuff...I had to hunt out a 386sx board last year for a cnc and built an entire computer brand new out of their stock for $500...386 :hee: Put your part into google and I bet you'll find exactly what you want for cheap... MrHunters 10-22-2007, 01:50 PM if you are thinking about using an older laptop, id look at xubuntu, it's supposed to be a lighter version for better performance on older machines. littles 10-23-2007, 02:36 AM Norman there's a bunch of guys online that specialize in new old stock stuff...I had to hunt out a 386sx board last year for a cnc and built an entire computer brand new out of their stock for $500...386 :hee: holy man. I could have gotten you a few of those for nothing unless you needed one specific board. I tossed a lot of my stuff about 6 months ago, my slowest (in parts) now is maybe a P3. I had some 286's and every variation of 386 and 486 cpu with a board, mostly Intel but some Amstrad, Via, and AMD. It was pretty cool collection but it was taking up too much space.
