I was raffling a few items off on ebay for John Hab's family. A guy has won multiple items and now will not respond or pay for the items. I just opened an Unpaid Item dispute so we will see what happens.

You need to go thru all the BS in order for Ebay to credit your account back, but they will.......(if you follow ALL the instructions and stay on top of it) Again - Good Luck. fishbones 10-24-2007, 08:52 AM Do you want to post his user name so that anyone else who sells/buys on Ebay can be aware of him? I guess we can't stop him from bidding, but we can refuse to buy anything he tries to re-sell. mikecc 10-24-2007, 09:05 AM he goes by meandher He also shows brandwashed.com , PO box in Boston http://myworld.ebay.com/meandher/ Finaddict 10-24-2007, 09:21 AM Good luck Mike, definitely not cool. there's other avenues we can try to flush this guy out if you are interested in hearing them, let me know. The Dad Fisherman 10-24-2007, 09:56 AM he has a very good feedback as a buyer. There may be something legitemately wrong with why he is not responding, PC Busted, health problems, Family crisis. Things like that do happen. Before anybody goes ballistic on the guy we may want to check and make sure he truly is a scumbag. Swimmer 10-24-2007, 10:34 AM There has to be somebody here that has the wherewithall to trace the web address. mikecc 10-24-2007, 10:39 AM He just paid for the items with Pay Pal. 12 days was long enough to waite. I have done it to several scammers who I believe to be kids just raising hell. Trouble is if you don't take care of it, it will get expensive. If enough people block these scammers, We will be making it tough for them. Tagger 10-24-2007, 02:42 PM e-bay sucks I'm surprised you feel that way Steve ,,, Internett bidding wars,, driving prices up and up has made your stash worth a fortune ., collecting is for guys with the deepest pockets now .. Eddie, that is not what Steve is about, he would rather the prices remain low. He doesn't like the things that cause high prices. Glad you got paid Mike. I hate ebay also I hardly ever use it or even go there. but I did bid on one of your Habs auctions, guess my name :) UserRemoved1 10-24-2007, 07:21 PM i know who that is. piemma 10-24-2007, 08:48 PM Here's another guy not to buy from: auctionittoday137 I bought a Crack 300 from them a couple of weeks ago. Got the reel and it looked OK but a screw was missing on the plate on the case. I let it sit for a week and then had a few spare minutes so I opened the reel up. I found that the reason the screw was missing was because the screw hole which is cast aluminum and part of the case was broken open. I wrote to auctionittoday137 and told them. Their response was you had 24 hours to let us know...too late you are hosed. $110 with shipping and the reel, although usable, is no longer water resistant. I am trying to figure out how to repair the screw hole. NIB 10-24-2007, 09:21 PM Mike u should get my MO tommorrow.. Saltheart 10-25-2007, 08:08 AM Piemma, If you paid with Pay pal , you have 60 days to dispute the charge. just say "the product was not as described...broken when received". Some other credit carsd will also help you reclaim money lost to a scam. For over $100 , its worth following up. piemma 10-25-2007, 08:38 AM I did not realize that PayPal could be petitioned on my behalf. I did pay using PayPal so I will follow-up with them. Thanks for the heads-up. zimmy 10-25-2007, 11:57 AM oops... spence 10-25-2007, 01:28 PM Piemma, If you paid with Pay pal , you have 60 days to dispute the charge. just say "the product was not as described...broken when received". I believe it's only 30 days and after that all they'll do is lock the sellers PayPal account. -spence caumsett 10-25-2007, 01:40 PM I don't know why people cannot be ethical. I sold a reel to someone on ebay. When he got it, he complained that the anti-reverse dog was sticking. I had him send it back, I fixed the problem the night I got it, and resent it out the next day at my shipping expense. That's what I would do! Now, take this guy who took forever to pay me for some plugs he won from me. When I finally got the funds I blocked him from ever bidding on my stuff again. The bad part is, this guy who I blocked had a "clean record" prior to the bid, so you never really know what you're dealing with. Nebe 10-25-2007, 02:29 PM I just went through a giant fiasco with ebay- i listed a bowl and 2 people won it. WTF??? after 4 days of litigation it was settled.. paypal insures buyers up to 200 bucks. do it now piemma. Mr. Sandman 10-25-2007, 03:30 PM I bought a Crack 300 .... This was your first mistake..:rotf2: Sorry I couldn't help myself. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
