Mike also released a 55 2 weeks earlier because he had a 38 on the beach good karma I'd say.. This 61 will look nice w/the 52 he got 4 yrs ago on the wall... I know I have fish envy just glad I was able to see it and lift it myself HEAVY.. I now have one of it's scales taped to my rod, liitle luck never hurt...

Carted that thing around for 2 days spreading the word by the looks of the date on the photo. NICE fish.

First photo looks like a different fish than the second. stresses the importance of camera angles I guess...

Beautiful fish. He will enjoy that mount and the memories till he is very old. I can't imagine what it will cost nowadays. It was 12 bucks and inch in 1990.

Always good to hear when someone from the shore catches a big fish.

Good job

I caught a fifty pounder last Sunday at dawn from shore with a Al Gag's Pocket Rocket so I can really tell you first hand - It's a Great Feeling!

Way to go!

GOOD GAWWWWD!!!!

That is a beeee uuuuu teeee!
Congrats on a huge accomplishment from tha surf, I always knew I liked the idea of fishing MTK, for some reason:drool::drool:??

Excellent MOJO twist to the story about the 55#er!!
I do believe that in order to land that 80#er one night, we've got to let more of the fiddies and sixties swim away. Because if we do, then they can become the ultimate COWS of our lifetimes.

WELL DONE, Mike!

You too, Grampy!! That gives us ALL Hope.
