BigFish 11-04-2007, 05:40 PM Gotta make the tackles fer cripe sakes!!! ProfessorM 11-04-2007, 05:42 PM Better be a track meet the second half or everyones predictions are going to be way off, including mine. Squid kids Dad 11-04-2007, 05:46 PM No excuse, but the refs have blown 2 or 3 calls already MAC 11-04-2007, 06:17 PM No excuse, but the refs have blown 2 or 3 calls already The one for a completed pass was a pissa. 2 refs watching him come down with 1 foot in the white and call it good.......good thing for challenge flags. BigFish 11-04-2007, 06:43 PM Refs are the least of their problems in this one!!! Why are they not spreading the field out and tossing the ball more??? They are running too much and not passing enough!!! Where is Welker???? Raider Ronnie 11-04-2007, 07:24 PM WTFFFFF???ok,it's official..The refs are in the Colt's pockets..That PI on Moss was a JOKE!!! Randy has got away with more than a few push offs this season ! Spanish Fly 11-04-2007, 07:25 PM It doesn't matter now, with or without the refs, it's over BABY!!!!! GO PATS!!!!! Raven 11-04-2007, 08:01 PM HOW SWEET IT IS ! :btu: Tagger 11-05-2007, 04:40 AM I'm glad the Pats won, so it wouldn't sound like sour grapes whining about the refs .. Those phantom PI calls really cramped Bradys style. I never saw Brady so pissed .. Refs were almost the deciding factor in a tough game .. fishaholic18 11-05-2007, 07:10 AM Are the refs on Mannings' payroll? Sure seems it....:realmad: Home field advantage, makes a "W" even better.:D BigFish 11-06-2007, 08:29 PM That is very funny!:bgi::bgi::bgi: Squid kids Dad 11-06-2007, 09:18 PM But true Mike P 12-03-2007, 04:47 PM I had some time today to do a little research into this area. After 12 games, the Colts have been penalized 47 times for a total of 309 yards. The opposition has been penalized 65 times for 560 yards. That's a big disparity--but it gets better. Over the last 5 games, the Colts have been penalized 18 times for 126 yards, while the opposition has been penalized 38 times for 362 yards. The Pats and Chargers, in the Colts' two losses, were penalized a total of 20 times for a combined 224 yards, while the Colts were penalized 8 times for 46 yards. In Sunday's close shave to the Jags, who nearly pulled it out in the Colts' house, the Jags got flagged 8 times for 64 yards while the Colts were penalized twice for 15 yards. Something is rotten in Denmark. And this is coming from an NFC guy who really doesn't care much about the AFC. Oh yeah--here's another tidbit about refereeing in general. The same rookie crew who got assigned the Pats/Colts game and made some horrendous calls was also the crew that worked the Dallas/Packers game last Thursday. Remember that blown pass interference call, where the flag materialized almost a minute after the play was over, after the official 10' away signalled that they got their feet tangled? How does the NFL assign a rookie crew to the two biggest regualr season games of the year? :wall: :hs:  Backbeach Jake 12-03-2007, 05:36 PM That's some very interesting numbers, Mike. Thanks. The flags thrown on the Pats in the Colts game were far and above anything that they normally do. And Peyton still whines. Mike P 12-03-2007, 10:23 PM That's on Gooddell..The schedule comes out before the season even begins, yet they have a young, inexperienced crew working big games?? . Pass interference is ruining the NFL. A team gets 30-60 yards for a penalty on a ball that isn't even catchable??:rollem: The competiton committee needs to address this in the offseason. As far as Pats/Indy....IN Indy, nothing surprises me when it comes to the refs. What do you expect when the Colt's GM (Polian),is on the competition committee??:rolleyes: He whined his a*s off to get officials to call the Pat's DB's for playing the receiver's physical after the Pats beat em in the AFCCG.. The should go to the college rule on interference--it's a spot foul inside of 15 yards, and after that, it's 15 yards from the previous line of scrimmage. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
